The Doha diamond league timetable
Events to look out for
Mens’ Pole Vault – Kendricks and Duplantis face off in a world class pole vault lineup. Can Duplantis improve on his outdoor world record of 6.15m.
Men’s 1500m – 17 runners will be on the start line in Doha. These include; Our recent podcast guest Matt Ramsden, Stewy Mcsweyn, El Bakalli, Barega, James West and Young GB talent Piers Copeland. Amongst many other athletes. If Stewy can get under that 3:30 barrier, he will become the 2nd athlete in history to run sub 3:30 (1500), Sub 7:30 (3000m) and sub 27:30 (10000m) in the space of 1 year.
Women’s 800m – All athletes in this race have a PB sub 2 minutes. Arguably the greatest women’s 800m field of all time.
Men’s 800m – Timothy Cheruiyot could potentially hold two WL this season if he runs to his full capability in this race.
Women’s 3000m – Helen Obiri looks like the favourite. But will have a very tough match up against inform Laura Weightman. Can Jessica Hull add more national records to her seasons collection?
Our prediction for this event: We except Timothy Cheruiyot to win in a time of 1:42, narrowly beating Bryce Hoppel. Young Amy Hunt will PB in the Women’s 100m placing in the top three. Faith Kipyegon will come out on top in the women’s 800m, with Helen Obiri winning the Women’s 3000m in sub 8:25. Stewy Mcsweyn will run sub 3:30 to close out his insane season. With Matt Ramsden closely following him, with a huge Personal best. Duplantis will carry on his winning streak in the Pole vault.
