Monaco diamond league 800m
The Monaco Diamond league 800m is set to see the 1:42 man Donavan Brazier take on the Kenyan 1:42 man Rotich. A very exciting matchup, we have seen Donavan brazier in excellent form at races held in Portland and we think the world champion has something special in his locker ready for this race. This will be Rotich’s first outing this season over 800m.
The race also includes Kyle Langford who is a British athlete that placed fourth at the 2017 world championships in London. The fast finishing brit will certainly be one to watch in regards to the latter stages of the race because of his turn of pace in the last 150m. The Australian training pair of Joseph Deng and Peter Bol are also featured in the stacked lineup in Monaco and after an impressive 700m time trial (both in 1:30)! A further big name on the list is the that of Bryce Hoppel, the adidas athlete who’s has made his position in the 800m very clear after winning the NCAA twice, having a streak of 21 races unbeaten and finishing fourth at the world champs in 2019.
