The Instanbul N Kolay Half Marathon has possibly one of the greatest fields in half marathon history. And with many Nike athletes racing, can we see the highly anticipated Nike Streakfly, which was meant to debut at the RAK Half marathon last month.
What makes the N Kolay Istanbul Half Marathon so fast
The race features a clash of titans. With former World record holder and World champion Geoffrey Kamworor competing against the current World record holder Kibiwott Kandie. This is also a big battle of the brands with Nike vs Adidas.
It will be Geoffrey Kamworor’s first big race since he was hit by a motorcycle in June of 2020.
The Women’s field is equally as impressive with Kenya’s Marathon World record holder Brigid Kosgei up against the Women only half marathon world record holder Peres Jepchirchir, along with the second fastest women ever in the Half marathon Ethopian Yalemzerf Yehualaw.
Ruth Chepngetich the races record holder and will be favourite along with Joan Chelimo Melly. However, I personally believe it’s Brigid Kosgei’s race to lose.
